Terms of Service

1. The service

Critling generates an AI "monster card" illustration from a photo of a pet you upload. The card attributes (rarity, level, elemental type, stats) are deterministically derived from the pet's visual features; the same photo always produces the same card.

2. No guarantee of likeness

The illustration is AI-generated and for entertainment purposes. We do not guarantee that the illustration will look exactly like your pet. If you need a perfect likeness, do not purchase.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the photos you upload. By uploading, you grant Critling a limited license to process the photo (compress, extract features, generate the illustration) solely to provide the service to you. The generated card is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use.

You must not upload photos you do not have the right to share, or content that is illegal or harmful.

4. Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Creem as Merchant of Record. By purchasing, you agree to Creem's payment terms in addition to these. Refund requests are handled per Creem's refund policy and applicable consumer-protection law.

5. Regional availability

Critling is not available in regions where our payment processor cannot lawfully serve customers. Access may be automatically blocked in such regions. If you believe you have been blocked in error, contact us.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the source models behind the service.
• Circumvent the per-session free quota or the credit system.
• Use the service to generate content that infringes the rights of others.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

7. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated outputs will meet your expectations.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Critling's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
